Introduction

What O'Clock Was It In Chaos?

Loose Ends in Creation

Rummaging in Genesis, I found a strange anomaly
That just won't fit a Fundamental sermon, text, or homily.
To rule by day, it said, God made a great humongous light,
Then made a lesser one whose job was just to rule by night.

But it put me in a quandary when it went on to say
That the evening and the morning were then the fourth day.
Those sunless, moonless, first three days took on the guise of myth
As I wondered what there might have been
they could be measured with.
