Introduction
I live
in the Northeast, outside Philidelphia area. When I moved here from central
Jersey, one thing I noticed was that they always made this really big
deal about the weather, devoting total coverage to "the coming storm"
and about 95% of the time it never panned out, I observed the preparations,
and changes in plans based on possibilities.
Storm
Tape
up the windows
Tie down loose ends
All weather reports this warning sends
A big storm is coming it's headed this way
Expect heavy rains with gusty winds today
Stockpile
can goods and water too
Tomorrow morning a nor'easters' due
Everyone's busy they're all out and about
No batteries left the supply is sold out
Buy up the candles, get some milk and some bread
We need to prepare for the storm that's ahead
There's
a hurricane party at the bar tonight
I guess we'll go there
since they've cancelled our flight
Lets unload the luggage, make room for supplies
Blow up the raft in case the waters rise
The
morning arrives but it's sunny and clear
The radio says there's no storm coming here
The winds they have shifted
They've turned out to the sea
I look at you and you look at me
