Introduction

Ever looked in the mirror and wondered who is the oldie looking back?......Good grief there's an old person looking at me!

I am part of a craft forum, and people often submit request for poems to go with gifts. The party favours were to be small mirrors and she wanted a poem to go with them.

The Mirror For Her

I look in the mirror and what do I see,
Good grief there's an old person looking at me!

She must have snuck in there and taken my place,
Oh my God! What the hell has she done to my face?

She's got it all wrinkled, so different to me,
When I think of myself that is not what I see.

I don't understand it, Oh what has she done,
Oh wait, now I see it, that lady's my mum!
